Welcome

Representation is often treated as a political question.

I see it as a broader social one. My work explores how institutions, economies, and cultures determine who is heard, who belongs, and whose interests matter.

I am a political economist, professor, and writer whose research bridges political representation, governance, political economy, art, and social change.

My Consulting Story

Beyond the classroom, I have served for more than a decade as a United Nations NGO Representative through the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) consultative framework. This work has allowed me to engage directly with multilateral institutions, civil society organizations, and policymakers from around the world. It has also reinforced a lesson that continues to shape my scholarship: representation is never merely a theoretical concern. It is lived, negotiated, contested, and profoundly consequential.

As Founder and CEO of Blue Ridge Impact Consulting, I work with universities, nonprofits, and civil society organizations to build partnerships, develop programs, and advance research and policy initiatives. Across these collaborations, I am particularly interested in creating spaces where ideas can move beyond the page and into practice - where scholarship informs policy, policy informs action, and learning becomes a vehicle for meaningful engagement.
